The courts have obtained ISO 27001 certification, which is the highest internationally recognised standard for an Information Security Management System (ISMS), used to manage and protect sensitive information assets, such as data belonging to institutions, service users, and employees, and to minimise risks.
In addition to the information security certification in information processing systems, amendments made under the Courts Law No. 9/1976 have also established the legal basis for the electronic archiving system.
As of the beginning of 2025, a system has been implemented whereby all case files are stored and archived electronically.
With the enactment of the proposed amendments to the Courts Law and the Evidence Law, which are currently awaiting consideration by the Legal Committee of the Republic Assembly, it will be possible to hear witnesses via videoconference, and to store such testimony electronically within the system and include it in the court file.
